If you’re looking to become a certified scuba diver, Divers Den’s PADI Open Water Course is the perfect starting point. The 4-day program includes comprehensive instruction and training, both in the classroom and in the water, to ensure that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to dive safely and confidently.

On the first day of the course, you’ll delve into the fundamentals of scuba diving. This includes learning about dive theory, equipment preparation, and safety procedures. You’ll also be given an overview of the equipment you’ll be using during the course and how to properly care for it.

Day 2 will be spent in the training pool, where you’ll have the opportunity to practice the skills you’ve learned and become comfortable with the equipment. Our experienced instructors will be with you every step of the way, providing guidance and support as needed.

On the third and final day of the course, you’ll embark on two open water dives. These dives will take place on the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s most renowned dive sites. You’ll have the chance to explore the vibrant coral and marine life that the reef has to offer, while putting your newly acquired skills to the test.

After completing the course, you’ll be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, allowing you to dive independently with a dive buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters. With this certification, you’ll have the freedom to explore the underwater world on your own terms.

Divers Den is committed to providing the highest quality training and service. Our instructors are PADI certified professionals with extensive experience in scuba diving instruction. We provide all the necessary equipment and materials, including dive computers and wetsuits, so you can focus on learning and enjoying your time in the water.

Flying after Scuba Diving

It would be best if you did not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive for single no-decompression scuba dive.  You should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive for multiple dives.
If you are Skydiving or Hot Air Ballooning, you must wait 24 hours after diving.
We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible.
