While scuba diving with enriched air nitrox
Quick answers
“What is nitrox?”
Nitrox, or enriched air, is a breathing gas with more oxygen and less nitrogen than normal air. It gives longer no-decompression limits, so many divers feel less tired after several dives.
“Do I need a special certification?”
Yes. To dive with nitrox you need an enriched air nitrox certification. Ask when you book if you would like to complete one.
“Which trips offer nitrox?”
Mostly liveaboards, where you dive several times a day. Compare Cairns liveaboards and check the inclusions on each trip.
