Snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef is truly magnificent. This destination is best to explore with a snorkel, mask and fins. The coral reefs and fish will take your breath away.
Our Great Barrier Reef snorkel tours will provide you with the best snorkel adventures on the Great Barrier Reef, and there certainly is something for everyone and every budget.
All snorkelling activities are overseen by a snorkel ‘lookout’ (lifeguard) from the boat.
Vessels always park in easy distance of spectacular snorkelling lagoons and have easy entrance platforms and stairs into the water.
No experience necessary
Never snorkelled before?
Need some assistance in the water? Our friendly and professional team is always ready to jump in and assist everybody in having fun and enjoying the magic that the reef has to offer, ensuring that you are comfortable with your snorkel equipment and introducing you to some of our friendly fish!
Experienced swimmer or snorkeler?
Our crew will show you the best coral patches and tell you where to find the marine marvels that call the reef their home. Want to find Nemo? No problem! Want to see for yourself that Giant Clams really exist and learn how these amazing creatures feed and breathe? Ask us how!
While experienced snorkelers are free to explore the vast diversity of marine life, it is preferred that you always snorkel as a buddy team or around other guests for your safety.
The best Great Barrier Reef Locations
Our tours have the option of visiting many different reef locations across a multitude of the best outer Great Barrier Reefs. The places visited will be decided by your boat’s Captain each day – to provide the best conditions based on the current weather, time of year and other circumstances.
As the coral on the Great Barrier Reef needs sunlight to survive and grow, the best snorkel and dive locations are found in relatively shallow areas.
Snorkelling area depths range from 1 – 12 metres deep (3 – 40 feet).
